The National Apple Museum: A Hub for Community Events and Gatherings

This past month, the National Apple Museum in Biglerville was buzzing with excitement, as the community took full advantage of the space for a variety of events. From club meetings to milestone celebrations, the museum continues to serve as a versatile venue for all types of gatherings.
A few of the highlights from the past few weeks are:
● The Gettysburg Chapter of the Daughters of the American Revolution held a club meeting, bringing together members to engage in meaningful discussions and share in the museum’s historical ambiance.

● An 8th-grade dance-party birthday party had young guests dancing the night away in the museum’s spacious community room.
● A group from UA Martial Arts hosted a class, using the venue’s open space to practice and showcase their skills.

● A heartwarming anniversary party brought families and friends together to celebrate a special milestone.

These diverse events showcase the wide range of ways the public is utilizing the National Apple Museum. It’s not just a place for learning about local history—it’s a thriving community space where people gather to celebrate, learn, and connect.
The museum, owned and operated by the Biglerville Historical and Preservation Society (BHPS), relies on event rentals, donations, and membership fees to fund its operating costs. Membership is affordable at just $25 per year, offering perks such as discounts at the museum’s gift shop and the ability to rent the space for a donation, rather than the standard $75 fee for a three-hour use.
In addition to private events, the National Apple Museum also hosts monthly concerts, the annual Adams County Blossom Festival, and special events like homeschool festivals and band festivals. These community-driven events provide locals with a chance to gather and enjoy the rich culture and history of Biglerville, while supporting the preservation of the museum itself.
Whether you’re looking for a place to host a family event, attend a concert, or simply explore local history, the National Apple Museum continues to be a cherished community space for all.
